"The following wonderful alpacas and llamas are for sale and are listed way below market value. These animals have been raised on a small farm with close contact to humans. They are quiet, gentle, get along with dogs and cats, and are easy to halter. They are gentle on the environment, eat only grass hay, are hardy, tolerate cold and can adapt to humidity and heat with environmental adjustments." - Marta Moore
Sugar Plum is the Grande Dame of this little farm. She is regal, tall, and carries herself like the queen she is. She was born near Christmas, 1998 in California and has lived with us since 2002. Her lineage is regal bloodlines - a descendant of Kissam and Macho Comancho - and shows in her presence. She has birthed 2 live crias and is a very good mom. Gentle, even tempered, and stately, she make an excellent parade walker and companion.
Sugar Plum (ID #211992)
Price $1500.
Blizzard was born June 2007, and his mom Sugar Plum is proud of him. He has her very gentle nature and grace. His coloration is exceptional, and his fiber, very soft. Aptly named, he has a white background coat with black and brown speckling. This first winter has conditioned him to snows and cold weather and to the confines of a small barn with humans and other animals always nearby. We are anxious to start his spring obstacle training. He promises to be an excellent companion animal, just like his mother.
Blizzard (ID# 273686)
Price $1000.
Grandote Ted was born just 2 days earlier than Blizzard (June 2007). He is the a dead ringer for his mother, Pixie Dust - coloring (light brown), size (big) and disposition (peppery). He'll be a strong, big llama from the looks of it and will be the lead driver on our llama cart driving team, if we ever get that far. Ted has the making of being a good guard or pack animal - but it's a bit too soon to tell for sure. You'd enjoy his company, especially with Blizzard.
Grandote Ted (ID#273685)
Price $1000.
Unity is a lovely appaloosa llama, named Unity because she has all the
colors a llama could have on one body. (Also because I like the word)
She is a maiden and has turned out to be a very good guard llama.
She is the first to the gate when a visitor comes, first to check out
a new dog in the area and first to chase off the skunk that came into
the pasture. I wasn't too fond of that first.
She is cautious, gentle and would make an excellent addition to your
farm if only for the alert protectiveness she demonstrates.
Unity (ID# 273684)
Price $1000.
Pixie is a tall, statuesque beauty. She's Sugar Plum's first baby and carries her mother's good bone, big size and proud disposition. She's a good mom, gentle and attentive. Lilliana, the product of her adolescent romp with an alpaca, and Ted are her crias. She's well trained to halter and walk, and though a bit more skittish than Sugar Plum, they make quite a statement walking downtown together. She has many good cria-bearing years ahead and will add good height to your herd..
Pixie Dust (DOB April 2003 ID # 254583)
Price $600.
Lilliana (pronounced Lilly-Ahnnah) is a Huariza - half llama, half alpaca, DOB Summer 2006. Her story is as wacky as she is!! On her birthday my friend who was her mother's caretaker called and said "Pixie had a baby" "No way" I said. "Pixie wasn't pregnant" "Oh yes she was and you have a beautiful little alpaca-looking girl" Oh, no!!! Then I remembered my husband saying that the boys had gotten in with the young girls. I had dismissed the problem because the girls were so young - they could never be mothers. Wrong! So Lilliana was named the most beautiful name I could think of because she carries such a genetic burden - half llama, half alpaca ( her dad is a lovely black alpaca). She is very spirited and full of personality- she doesn't care if she has "mixed" heritage. She thinks she's a queen - and acts like it. She's tall and pushy with a very nice (needless to say) fleece with a bit too much guard hair for an alpaca. She will keep you amused and engaged trying to outwit her.
(unregistered and never can be).
Price: ...priceless, but $300. will take her away.
Whisper was born on a beautiful Fourth of July day (2007) and has many, many baby pictures to prove it. She is Summer Breeze's second cria and has carried through with her mother's beautiful fiber in an unusual light fawn with hints of apricot. This will be an exceptional spinning fiber. She is a hearty eater, curious and gentle, with just a hint of shyness (or is it coyness?) She is well adapted to humans, llamas, dogs and cats.
Whisper (ID# 31324410)
Price $4000.
Mariah is the most personable of alpacas - she is always at the front of the reception line when a visitor comes. She's friendly and very easy to be around, loves to go for walks but her first love in life is FOOD. She has the fastest lips in the West - it's amazing how quickly she can nibble a blade of grass. She's a good mom and has no problems delivering her crias. Born May 10, 2000, there are still many years of productive motherhood ahead of her. She is well tempered to the harsh winters of Colorado and has what it takes to care for a cria during the winter as well.

Price $ 4000.
Milo and Cho have been together since the first fence was put up here on the farm. Both are gelded and well trained to halter and parades. Cho thinks he's the great protector of the Herd - always on alert for "in-coming" - but is still gentle and easy. Milo is a rather large gelding with a kind and tender streak - his fiber is nice for spinning and dyeing. He and Cho are available as a package - they would hate to be separated.
Milagro (light fawn DOB 1999 ID # 818872) and Chopin (bay black DOB 96 ID # A167014)Price for pair $1000.
Deeto is our big bad boy - born on a windy cold day in October and filled with the spirit of that day. He's just a pistol, full of fun and a big guy attitude. Some days he thinks he's a llama and hangs out with Ted and Blizzard, butting necks and chasing. Other days he prefers the serenity of his sister, Whisper, and is very docile. He will be a fine male and exceptionally easy to handle. He's on a halter already and learning to lead like the rest of them. His fiber is lustrous, crimpy and will be very nice to spin.
Deeto Bandito (ID# 31324427)
Price $ 1000.
Diablow - a little guy with GREAT ambitions. He is the Big stud around our place - not to mention the only one - so he acts like the boss. In truth he has a very even, gentle disposition. Very good on lead and easy to approach. His fiber is lofty and a beautiful dark brown - as a young guy at alpaca shows he took a first, second and fourth. You can see the quality of his offspring in both Whisper and Deeto - fine young alpacas - in both fiber and temperment. We guess Lilliana is also his daughter - she is the image of her "dad" only MUCH bigger. We are very reluctant to sell him. He's just an all around good guy and a real favorite here.
Diablo (DOB June 2001 ID# 833152)

Summer is as lovely as her name is - and she knows it. Our Princess - a bit spoiled and sometimes bossy - but doesn't that privilege go with the title "Princess". Her cinnamon-colored dark fawn fiber is lovely to look at and to spin. She is Whisper's Mom and a darn good one too. No doubt this princess will spice up your herd.
